Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement is established to provide quality of life and respect the rights of our citizen's property. This is accomplished by the enforcement of our rules and regulations. The fair and equitable enforcement of our codes and ordinances is our highest goal.

The Code Enforcement Officer is available for questions and to mitigate neighborhood concerns as it relates to quality of life.  Also addresses any complaints from the neighbors that have a direct correlation to our Zoning/Building codes.  Performs field inspections and investigations of properties to insure compliance with zoning regulations; determines when a building is in violation of housing and zoning codes and issues violation notices.  Responds to citizen’s complaints; recognizes and reports dangerous or unsanitary conditions so they can be corrected.

The Code Officer is cross trained in issuance of citations as allowed by Florida Statutes; performs other duties as required by Department Director.
